Heather Powell (Van Fleet) - Team FRANCE Leader

Heather Van Fleet is stay-at-home-mom to three little girls, a (not-so) certified book boyfriend connoisseur, oh...and she’s a wife to her high school sweetheart too. When she has spare time (which is usually never) you can find her with her head buried in her Kindle, guzzling down copious amounts of coffee.

Heather graduated from Black Hawk College in 2003 with an associate degree and has been working in the publishing industry for five years. She's the lead content editor for BookFish Books and is represented by Stacey Donaghy of Donaghy Literary. Her untitled adult contemporary romance series, pitched as Three Alpha Men and a Baby, is Forthcoming from Sourcebooks starting February, 2017.

Heather's wishlist:

Heather is a huge fan of adult romance...preferably the contemporary kind. (M/F, M/M, F/F, she's not picky.)

Sports romance are her favorite. Think Sawyer Bennett's Cold Fury series. (Give her your football players, your hockey players, your rugby players, and baseball players.)

She's not scared of erotica romance one bit. Bonus points for a sexy alpha and a non-virgin heroine who loves her body, no matter the size.

She has a soft spot for paranormal at times, especially shifters. Give her something other than wolves though. (Unless your wolves still manage to make her swoon.)

If you write romantic suspense or romantic thrillers (both with an edge-of-the-seat plot and plenty of kissing) then she's the mentor for you!

Michelle Hazen - Team FRANCE member

Michelle Hazen is a nomad with a writing problem.

Years ago, she and her husband ducked out of the 9 to 5 world and moved into their truck. She found her voice with the support of the online fanfiction community, and once she started typing, she never looked back. She wrote most of her books in odd places, including a bus in Thailand, an off-the-grid cabin in the Sawtooth Mountains, a golf cart in a sandstorm, a rental car during a heat wave in the Mohave Desert and a beach in Honduras. Even when she’s climbing rocks, riding horses, or getting lost someplace wild and beautiful, there are stories spooling out inside her head, until she finally heeds their call and returns to her laptop and solar panels.

Michelle was awarded first place in the 2015 NTRWA Great Expectations Contest, New Adult genre. Her work is represented by Naomi Davis of Inklings Literary. Michelle is the Amazon bestselling author of Kindle Worlds titles: the Desperate Love Trilogy, the In Time We Trust Trilogy, Happily Ever After: Salvatore Style, and Sanguine Veritas.

Michelle's wishlist:

Michelle is looking for all contemporary romance variants, especially if they're witty or suspenseful. Bonus points for anything involving New Orleans, horses, musicians or sexy firefighters (really, as if there are any other kind?).

She also loves fantasy/dystopian, especially if they come with creative fight scenes.

Layla's Wishlist:

Must have ROMANCE!  Layla is a romance reader and writer, so your story must have a happily ever after.  In the romance genre, she's most interested in romantic suspense and contemporary romance (m/m, m/f or f/f, all are good!), but also enjoys romance in the other sub-genres of fantasy adventure, paranormal (of the psychic gifts variety), erotica and mystery/thriller. She especially loves stories that involve a large cast of characters and a setting she can get lost in.  Sports, food, wine/whiskey and music are also sure to catch her attention! She is not interested in historical, inspirational, or paranormal of the vampire, shifter or fallen angel variety.
